Innovative table provides a clear comparison to how five different fonts perform in printed and online settings. Table includes metrics like legibility, comfort level, clarity, and readability scores which are all important factors for selecting the right font for your project. For more information on any of the categories mentioned in this table you can visit GitHub or contact me directly at hello@kunobellerdesign.com with any questions! The Kuno Beller Entwicklungstabelle is an innovative new web-based tool that lets designers find out how their chosen typeface will look before they commit to it by printing it or showing it onscreen. Simply select your typeface and drag it onto the image of your choice. With over 200 different elements such as text, buttons, headlines and avatars to choose from you can design any page or website imaginable. You can also fill in different variables such as the amount of text and colors used to create fake fake versions with real data. The idea for the Kuno Beller Entwicklungstabelle stemmed from my own experience of creating a website without doing any due research. I choose a sans-serif typeface that had been outdated for some time and one that made no sense for the project it was intended for. This realizations led to my ongoing research into understanding how typefaces work and how they behave online and in print. The data collected from this experiment will be used to create a database of all popular typefaces and their legibility scores based on specific font sizes, color combinations, borders, weights, spacing and columns. This database will be searchable and will allow designers to find the perfect font for their project. The Kuno-Beller Entwicklungstabelle was released publicly on January 1, 2015. Since then it has been used extensively by students learning about typography, design students who are interested in how typefaces will impact their design decisions, as well as published by various creative agencies who are looking to quickly evaluate fonts before choosing them for projects.
